Merchant Institute of Diploma StudiesFormerly: Narayanbhai Bhikhabhai Patel Polytechnic (Approved By AICTE & Affiliated with GTU)

Overiew

The General Department, N. B. PATEL, PILUDARA is multidisciplinary in its orientation and has expertise in four disciplines: Physics, Chemistry, English, & Mathematics.

Physics

With well – equipped apparatus, instruments, all sorts of physics lab experiments are conducted suggested by GTU syllabus.

Chemistry

The chemistry laboratory is equipped with advanced facilities to conduct day to day experiments and tests as per the prescribed curricula of GTU.

Mathematics

The department of mathematics has the modern teaching materials to inculcate the application of mathematics to increase the perception of the students. We arrange free extra classes for poor students.

English

Advanced software – based communicative and career lab is functioning to bring up the communicative competence and performance of the students. Group discussion and context-based activities are conducted to improve spoken and written skills of the students.

Special attention is given to the students to perform successfully in placement programmes and higher studies.

Objectives

  • To achieve excellence in teaching, training and research in the areas of humanities and social science.
  • To prepare professional leaders to address the emerging global challenges and to deal with social and business realities.
  • Utilize fundamental technical knowledge and skills in mathematics, science (Basic Physics and Applied Chemistry), and engineering to analyze and solve problems, and apply these abilities to generate new knowledge, ideas or products in academia, industry or government.
  • Demonstrate practical experience and organizational skills to the students so that they can interact and communicate effectively (written and /or oral) with others (e.g., supervisor, client and/or team) with an appreciation for intellectual diversity, involved in the project.
  • Demonstrate leadership and /or assumes roles of increasing responsibility that benefits themselves and their employers.
  • Recognize the importance of and engagement in life – long learning through:
    • Self – study,
    • Continuing education courses,
    • Formal diploma level education, and encourage co – workers to have this same motivation and
    • By visiting we create extra knowledge and latest technology about their field.
  • Understand professional and ethical responsibilities toward peers, employers, and society and follows these precept in their daily lives.

Infrastructure

The General Department of MPC is fully equipped with highly sophisticated equipments, well developed laboratories and 1 seminar hall.

The General Department provides laboratory for basic fundamental understating about English & CPD and opportunity to learn and innovate.

Future

A guy with working in a chip manufacturing plant comes to picture when we usually think about Electronics and communication engineering course. Ultimately every student wants to go there and work, but one needs to go through a continuous study of core electronics subjects, their understanding and master their application.

First year of electronics and engineering course dedicated to teach students about basic engineering techniques such as engineering mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering drawing to name few. From second year of studies student start to learn about core Electronics and communication engineering subjects like digital electronics and logic design, fundamentals of communication engineering, electronic circuits, signals and systems, power electronics, applied electromagnetic theory, integrated circuits, VLSI, control systems and computer architecture are just few to mention.

Electronics and communication engineering course give enormous job opportunities in electronics and software companies. All electronic devices need software interface to run and come with one other or other device controlling programs architected and developed by electronics and communication engineering. It also gives great opportunities for research and development, as everyday consumer need new devices to support them in daily life.
