A Warm welcome To the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, consisting of full fledge faculties and laboratories, is one of the largest departments within N. B. PATEL POLYTECHNIC with following intake.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering trains students to study basic principles and applications of mechanical engineering so they can have the ability to systematically analyze, to comprehensively design, and to apply their knowledge to the related fields as professional engineers.

The trained students may comfortably face the challenges by putting their skills and learning to work.

Infrastructure

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is fully equipped with highly sophisticated equipments, well developed laboratories, seminar hall and huge workshop, Two drawing halls and 125 high configured Personal Computers with all updated software.

Mechanical engineering laboratories provide basic fundamental understating about the subjects and opportunity to learn and innovate.

Activity

• We have arranged seminar on “Interview Techniques” for our Mechanical Engineering students which is conducted by 40 years experienced person Mr.V.M.Patel.
• We have arranged seminar on “How To Select Project” for our Mechanical Engineering final year students.
• We have also arranged Industrial Visit of Sardar Sarovar Dam, GMDC Pandhro, Manglam Alloys Chatral, Gujarat Appolo Jagudan, Indo German Tool Room Ahmedabad.

Future

Mechanical engineers are generally optimistic about their ability to solve major global problems over the next two decades, although they believe they will need additional skills to remain competitive.

Mechanical engineering is really a broad field of engineering because of its application.

It has application right from manufacturing plants, vehicles, ships, robots, heating and cooling systems, aircrafts, even in medical devices.

Mechanical Engineering have good prospects in industry as well as higher studies.

One of the most appealing features of mechanical engineering is that, this field of study is extremely diverse. Almost all inventions since the history of mankind have involved direct application of mechanical engineering. Traditionally, mechanical engineers dealt with several concepts that included things like robotics.

Mechanical engineers are not only involved in designing but also manufacturing.
